WCPS # 1: Craig Valentine

The first post in a series on World Champions of Public Speaking I have known (ok, met!)

Let's start with Craig Valentine. I first saw Craig in Hong Kong at the Annual Convention in May 2007. Apart from being just a really nice guy, Craig is - in my opinion - the stand-out of all past World Champions.

Craig is such a nice guy. He really cares. Beyond and above his gifted speaking abilities you see he has a big heart, too. Among other World Champions of Public Speaking, I am most fond of Craig's natural style, the tempo that puts you at ease, not necessarily as a star on the stage but as your friend with great insight - of life, of himself, of your desires.

Some other speakers are seen to have polished skills, exaggerated or even pretentious or pedantic stance. Oh I love Mr Valentine's speeches!
